Dr. Alexander M. Wyglinski was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1975. He received his B.Eng. (with distinction) from McGill University, Montreal in 1999, his M.Sc.(Eng.) from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada in 2000, and his Ph.D. from McGill University in 2004, all in Electrical Engineering. Dr. Wyglinski is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where is also the elder denizen of the Wireless Innovation Laboratory. His research interests are in cognitive radio communication networks, dynamic spectrum access, spectrum sensing, artificial intelligence for cognitive wireless devices, wireless communications, high speed data transmission, mesh networking, hardware implementation of communication systems, and signal processing for digital transceivers.

Ph.D. Candidates
Mr. Si Chen was born in Changsha, China and raised in Tianjin, China. He received his B.S. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China in 2007. Since September 2007, he has been a member of the Wireless Innovation Laboratory where he is enthusiatically conducting research into cognitive radio networks. Mr. Chen is a recipient of the 2007 Institute Fellowship for pursuing Ph.D. studies at WPI in Electrical Engnineering.

Mr. Srikanth Pagadarai received his B.S. degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India in 2005, and his M.S. degree from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas in 2007. His M.S. thesis focused on sidelobe suppression techniques for non-contiguous orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (NC-OFDM) systems.

Ms. Di Pu was born in Suzhou, China in 1985. She received her B.S. degree from Najing University of Science and Technology (NJUST), Najing, China in 2007. Since March 2008, she has been a member of the Wireless Innovation Laboratory where she is conducting research into cognitive radio system implementations. Ms. Pu is a recipient of the 2007 Institute Fellowship for pursuing Ph.D. studies at WPI in Electrical Engnineering.

M.S. Students
Mr. Kevin Bobrowski received his B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in May 2007. Kevin joined the Wireless Innovation Lab in September 2007. His research interests are in computational accelerations with FPGAs. Kevin is a member of Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi, and IEEE.

Mr. Michael Leferman received his B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in May 2007. Since September 2007, he has been a member of the Wireless Innovation Laboratory.

Mr. Zhou Yuan was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China in 1986. He received his B.S. degree from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Nanjing, China in 2007. Since September 2007, he has been a member of the Wireless Innovation Laboratory. His research interests includes cognitive radio communication networks, digital signal processing, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing, wireless communications, wireless sensor networks, and HDL design.
